Emily is in-house Legal Counsel to Durum, its affiliates, and managed entities with several years’ experience practicing primarily corporate and real estate law. Prior to joining Durum, Emily worked in private practice and supported clients with private mergers and acquisitions, commercial and residential real estate transactions and disputes, and private company financing in Canada. Emily graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland with her LL.B. (Honours) and with a Masters of Laws (LL.M.) in International Banking Law and Finance, subsequently completing her legal training in Canada with a national business law firm, and being called to the bar of Alberta in 2021.
Emily has experience working overseas and has previously worked in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
